The start is the heart

of all excitement.

But the end reveals

that it will only happen again.

A petty pebble’s throw begets in us

a body of water, a ripple.

Grizzled hands grip wavering wands

in every what, where, how, and why.

How is it that every day 

every “insignificant” thing we say

take effect and take hold like grizzled hands

upon our bodies?

Like a pebble’s ripples, so too are we

bodies of water.

.

In reflection,

we cast lines, compiling words

finding where is it last we left

our sense of wonder.

Lost in thoughts translation,

my world widens. 

Thus, I wander.

When i observe my ripples

casted upon the wide open shining sea,

in its reflection,

I now know where my faith lies

because I believe in me.
